BERLIN, DEUTSCHLAND22. AUGUST 2020QUELLE: AFPTV1. O-TON 1 - Jaka Bizilj, founder of Cinema for Peace (Mann, German, 33 Sek.): '(talking about Pyotr Verzilov’s flight two years ago) It happened spontaneously, like two days ago when Nadya Tolokonnikova from Pussy Riot and Pyotr Verzilov called me to ask me if we could help their friend Alexei Navalny. I don't know Navalny personally, of course I know who he is, but I don't have personal contacts with him. Cinema for Peace has no connection with Russian politics, it was simply a humanitarian request to which we responded. We organised the flight and fortunately, after several obstacles to overcome, it finally worked and the patient arrived safely in Berlin.'2. O-TON 2 - Jaka Bizilj, founder of Cinema for Peace (Mann, German, 23 Sek.): 'Everything has been privately financed, the German Government has not been involved, but it has obviously been informed, and of course that plays a role when Mrs Merkel speaks as she did the day before yesterday. The authorities have therefore been cooperative and have taken care of the security aspects.'3. O-TON 3 - Jaka Bizilj, founder of Cinema for Peace (Mann, German, 30 Sek.): 'This mission has not been a burden on taxpayers' money, it is not a foundation, but private individuals who find it wise to finance this mission. We started it without really knowing how much it was going to cost, there again we had a few surprises: it cost a lot of money to organise it in the very short term. But in the course of this mission, several other people showed up to help.'
